Abstract

822,147. Valves. HATTERSLEY (ORMSKIRK) Ltd. Jan. 24, 1956 [Feb. 8, 1955], No. 3637/55. Class 135. In a stop-valve the closure member 12 is carried by the spindle 11 and has attached thereto a resilient disc member 15 which during closing of the valve engages an extension 17a of the seat 17 in advance of the seating of the member 12 on the seat 17. The disc 15 is deformed in the final closing movement. According to the Provisional Specification the disc member co-operates with a seat which is spaced from the main seat in the direction in which the closure member is moved. Specification 822,148 is referred to.
