Abstract

752,302. Valves. DUNHAM CO., Ltd., C. A. Sept. 14, 1954 [Jan. 25, 1954], No. 26579/54. Class 135. The flow of fluid through a valve is controlled by a manually rotatable closure member comprising a web 31, Figs. 1, 9, extending between centring discs 24, 25 and the edges of which coact with the edges of oppositely-inclined ribs 16, 17 formed on the valve body. When the valve is open, triangular-shaped openings 34, 35 are formed between the web 31 and the surfaces 20, 21 of the ribs 16, 17 respectively. The rotation of the closure member is limited by a pin 27 engaging a shoulder 26 formed on the underside of the disc 25.
