A thermostatic valve comprises an apertured support member 14, 22, with a valve seat 20 and a housing 30 having a circular valve guide 34, a sleeve valve 52 slidable over the guide and carried by one end of a thermostat 68 having its other end 70 held against an inner wall of the housing by resilient means 76 carried by a part 42 of the housing. The thermostat is of the wax-fusion type.
