Abstract
Alloys which may be cathodically heated (see Group XXXVI) are (1) a chromium-iron alloy containing 14 to 18% chromium, 0.12% carbon, 1.0% manganese, 1.0% silicon, 0.03% sulphur and 0.04% phosphorus, the balance being iron; (2) a stainless steel containing 0.1% carbon, 0.8% silicon, 0.8% manganese, 18% chromium, 9% nickel and 0.6% titanium, the balance being iron; (3) an alloy of 53 to 55% iron, 28 to 30% nickel and 16 to 18% cobalt; (4) an alloy of 52% iron, 42% nickel and 6% chromium.
