844,460. Cartons; pouches. ROSE BROS. (GAINSBOROUGH) Ltd. Aug. 6, 1958 [Aug. 7, 1957], No. 24870/57. Classes 18 and 133. In a carton made by folding a blank to U form and sealing together extensions 9a, 9b of opposed side walls to form end walls, tabs extending from the ends of the base 8 are creased at 45 degrees to the adjacent base edge along lines 5, 6, and the creases are joined by cuts 7 at right angles to said edge. This enables the tabs to be folded beneath the portions 9a, 9b, the lower edges of which then coincide with the end edges of the base. The blank used may be of paper sandwiched between layers of heat scalable film, the latter extending beyond the paper, to facilitate sealing.
