Abstract

838,798. Pipe joints. MANTON, D. N. Feb. 4, 1959 [Feb. 15, 1958], No. 4996/58. Class 99(1). A flange for a pipe comprises an annular part 1 of suitable corrosion resistant material e.g. stainless steel or titanium and an outer part 4 of a cheaper material. A weld 5 unites the two portions. In various embodiments disclosed the two portions may be screwed together one deformed to grip the other or cash together. A synthetic plastic may be used for the outer flange member.
