833,544. Container closures. FRANCIS & BARNETT Ltd. June 10, 1958 [June 11, 1957], No. 18347/57. Class 125(3). A plug closure 4, for a vehicle fuel tank, having an annularly ribbed rubber or like sealing ring 5 which has a force fit in the orifice tube 2 is rotatable in the tube 2 and has abutment members 10 which co-operate with a helical cam surface 12 formed within the tube by a ledge 13 so that rotation of the plug when it is in closed position causes it to be thrust axially outward. A rib 7 on the head 6 of the plug facilitates turning. The hollow plug may serve as an oil measure.
