Abstract

The invention comprises N-alkyl substituted monothio-oxamides of the formula <FORM:0831001/IV (b)/1> in which R is an alkyl radical. These compounds are prepared by reacting monothio-oxamide with a primary amine, the process being combined if desired with the preparation of monothio-oxamide from cyanoformamide and hydrogen sulphide, according to Specification 831,002.ALSO:A vulcanizable composition comprises Neoprene type W, phenyl-b -naphthylamine, stearic acid, light calcined magnesia, semi-reinforcing furnace black, zinc oxide and an N-alkyl substituted monothiooxamide of the formula <FORM:0831001/IV (a)/1> (in which R is an alkyl radical) as an accelerator. Specification 831,002 is referred to.
