Abstract

The invention comprises thiamine derivatives of formula: <FORM:0963625/C1/1> where R is an alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, phenylalkyl or alkoxyalkyl radical and Y is an oxygen or sulphur atom. The compounds may be obtained by reacting a compound of formula: <FORM:0963625/C1/2> where R and Y are as above, with 4H-dihydropyran. In examples compounds are prepared where -Y-R is -OC2H5, -O-C4H9 and -S-C2H5. Specifications 741,250 and 749,307 are referred to.
