830,036. Measuring for wearing-apparel. JOCHHEIM, H. R. A. May 17, 1956, No. 15366/56. Class 141 Apparatus for measuring a person for wearing-apparel comprises a base plate 2 provided with a vertical standard 1 on which blocks 3, 4, 5, 6 supporting measuring appliances are slidable. The block 5 slidably supports an arm 5a on which are mounted a neck-encircling member 17a, 17b adjstable by a spindle 18 and a bar 8a, 8b which carries adjustable shoulderengaging plates 13a, 13b. The block 4 slidably supports an arm 4a which carries a back-engaging plate 22 and has a guide slot 23 to receive a tape measure 20 carried the neck-encircling member to measure the back curve. A chest-engaging member 24 is adjustably carried by a standard 26, and the chest curve is measured by a tape measure 21 carried by the bar 8a, 8b. A waist-engaging member 28 is carried by an arm 3a on the block 3 and the waist measurement is made by a tape measure 29. An arm 6a on the block 6 indicates the person's height.
