826,459. Operating clutches. DAIMLERBENZ A.G. Aug. 16, 1957 [Aug. 16, 1956], No. 25906/57. Class 80 (2). During initial depression of a vehicle clutch pedal 1, a spring 9 connected between a fixed point on a vehicle frame 10 and the pedal 1, or on a cranked arm pivoted thereto, passes over a dead centre line through the pedal pivot 4 and thereafter assists foot pressure in declutching. The line of action of the spring is adjustable by a screw-anchor 8 at either end. The pedal actuates the clutch through linkwork 5, 6, 7.
