Abstract
380,370. Ironing-presses. MATHIASEN, G. E., 10, Oresundsgade, Copenhagen. March 12,1932, No. 7463. Addition to 315,784, [Class 138 (ii), Washing, mangling, &c.]. [Class 138 (ii).] The levers 10 of the head 14 of the press described in the parent Specification are operated through a three-armed lever pivoted on a shaft 16 which extends between brackets 15 on the front posts 1 of the frame. One arm of the lever is connected by an adjustable link 20 to the levers 10 and another arm is connected by a link 28 with a pedal 23. As the press closes, the link 20 contacts with a resilient stop 30 which facilitates the press-opening action when a latch 26, which engages a stop 29 as the press closes, is unlatched by pressure on an arm 31, the arms and latch being pivoted on the pedal. The pedal may be operated by a fluid-pressure motor.
