[Class 80 (iii)] [See also Group VIII] The lower lever 8 of an inwardly breaking toggle operating the head 5 of an ironing-press is pivoted at 9 to the machine frame and is provided with an offset extension 10 adjacent the pivot. The extension is shaped as shown and a plate 13 coacts therewith to define a slot in which a roller 14 on one end of the treadle lever 15, pivoted at 16, works. The pivots 9, 16 are substantially in horizontal alignment and the surface of the extension 10 with which the roller coacts would, if continued, pass through the pivot 9.
