825,465. Forced-flow steam boilers, SIEMENS - SCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. Jan. 21, 1958 [Feb. 15, 1957], No. 2048/58. Addition to 787,006. Classes 123(2) and 123(3.) The thermal efficiency of the forced-flow, once-through boiler described in the parent Specification is improved by preheating the water injected between the superheating stages 3, 4 for the control of steam temperature in a series of high pressure, bled steam, main feedwater heaters 7, 8, 9. In modifications the water to be injected is preheated in a separate heater connected to an upper bleeding stage of the turbine or in a series of separate heaters connected in parallel with the main heaters.
