Abstract

1,058,264. Heating feedwater. KAWASAKI JUKOGYO KABUSHIKI KAISHA. April 7, 1964 [April 10, 1963], No. 14370/64. Heading F4A. [Also in Division F1] In a feedwater heating circuit for a steam power plant having a main turbine 2 and an auxiliary turbine 21 driving a feed pump 8 and wherein feedwater for the boiler 1 supplying steam to both turbines is heated in low pressure heaters 5 . . . 7 and then in high pressure heaters 9, 10 by steam bled from the main turbine, the steam exhausting from the auxiliary turbine 21 is also used to heat the feedwater, part of its heat being exchanged in a high pressure, non-condensing heater 23 interposed between heaters 9 and 10 and the remainder in the lowpressure heater 7 wherein the exhaust steam condenses.
