825,218. Slewing and luffing cranes. FLADMARK, T. May 22, 1956, No. 15823/56. Class 78 (4). In a slewing and luffing crane the load-hoisting and luffing ropes are led from the jib into paths in or parallel and adjacent to the slewing axis and thence to winding drums which do not slew with the jib. As shown, the jib C is hinged to a turntable K on a frame A. The load rope G is led from the jib-head over a guide pulley F to one of the winding drums J, and the luffing rope H passes under a pulley E and over further guide pulleys to the other winding drum J. The pulleys E, F are carried on a bracket D rotatably mounted at I, the pin I and the paths of the ropes from the pulleys E, F being in the slewing axis of the crane.
