Abstract

820,112. Float-actuated valves. FLOYD [nee RALPH], M. May 11, 1956 [May 31, 1955], No. 15595/55. Class 135. A tank liquid supply valve 6 closing when the float arm 13 reaches a certain high level, has a normally open mains valve 4 which closes the flow to the valve 6 when its operating mechanism is actuated by the float rising above the high level. At the high level a cam 15 allows valve 6 to close but on the float rising above this level, cam 15 actuates a lever 16 closing valve 4. Lever 16 is also operated to close valve 4 by a cam 25 actuated by a manual screw 24 lifting a nut 23 and link 22.
