818,955. Condensate receptacles. COMAGLIO, A. Feb. 13, 1957 [Feb. 18, 1956], No. 4918/57. Class 20(3) A receptacle 1 for collecting condensate from windows, and which is capable of being readily adjusted in length to fit across windows of different widths, has end portions which are, preferably as shown, of reduced width and are subdivided into separate chambers by vertical -partitions 3, the required number of which can be cut from each end to provide a receptacle having, e.g. a required width L. The partitions 3 left at each end constitute the end closures of the vessel. The remaining partitions 3 are cut away to allow for the insertion of a window pane 4. The receptacle may have a deflector 5 to divert rain clear of a window ledge 6, condensate being withdrawn inside the room through an outlet 7 which may, as shown in Fig. 6 communicate with a pipe 8 leading to the outside of the building. The receptacle, preferably moulded from plastic material, has a depending rib 9 which is received in a corresponding groove in the ledge 6. The rib 9 may be omitted, in which case, the receptacle is stuck to the glazing.
