Abstract
817,312. Inductors. TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET L. M. ERICSSON. Sept. 11, 1957 [Sept. 20, 1956], No. 28661/57. Class 38 (2). An inductor comprises a ferrite core in two halves, each comprising a cruciform base part 1 from which projects a central stem 12 which bears the winding or windings 2, and four legs 11 at the ends of the arms, in the same direction as the stem 12. So that it may have an optimum figure of merit as defined in the Specifition its proportions are such that when the core halves are cemented together at the ends of the stem and legs the overall shape of the core and windings is substantially that of a parallelopiped with the thickness h less than length of one side a. The core base parts may form a substantial rectangle, the winding and central stem then being oval. Terminals 23 are mounted inside the general contour.
