Abstract

815,595. Inductors. COLE Ltd., E. K., and KNIGHT, A. J. Nov. 1, 1956 [Nov. 2, 1955], No. 31279/55. Class 38 (2). An inductance coil assembly for radio circuits comprises a tubular core of magnetic material (e.g. " Ferroxcube ") bearing a winding 3 and prov ided with metal end caps 2 each of which is apertured to receive a wire stem 4 which enters the bore of the core and is fixed to the end cap (for example by soldering) and is electrically connected to the winding. The end caps may be secured by shellac varnish and the winding coated with wax. In a modification (Fig. 3, not shown) two windings are provided on the core and a single stem extends throughout the bore and is bent over at one end to form a mounting piece.
