Abstract

814,968. Anti-friction-wheel bearings. SCRAGG & SONS Ltd., E. Jan. 8, 1957 [Feb. 14, 1956], No. 4525/56. Class 12 (1). [Also in Group IX] In a mounting for a plurality of textile twist tubes (see Group IX), each tube 14 is mounted in the angle formed by two adjacent vertical rollers 9, 11 mounted on a carriage 10 pivoted at 8 on an arm 7 which swings about a pivot 6 to permit the tubes to be swung into and out of engagement with a driving belt 5. Rollers 9, 11 are all mounted as shown at the left of Fig. 1, 12 being a housing having bearings for a peg 13 attached to the roller 11. Twist tubes 14 each have a flange 15 resting on top of the upper flanges of a pair of rollers 9, 11. A greater number of rollers and twist tubes than are shown may be employed.
