Abstract

813,268. Counting-apparatus. SODECO, SOC. DES COMPTEURS DE GENEVE. Dec. 23, 1955 [Dec. 30, 1954], No. 36958/55. Class 106 (1). A counter comprises indicating wheels 6, Fig. 2, mounted on a shaft 7 and each integral with a heart-shaped cam 9, Fig. 1 which may be made of plastic material. The transfer pinions 15 are mounted on a shaft 14 carried between two arms 13a, 13b pivoted on a spindle 12. A bail 19 interconnects the arms 13a, 13b. The zeroizing hammers 35 depend from a rotatable carrier 30 and their heads 35<SP>1</SP> normally engage the bail to retain the transfer pinions 15 in their active positions. The carrier 30 is connected by a link 28 to the armature 26 of an electromagnet 24 carried by a frame 25. The first indicating wheel 6a, Fig. 2, is driven by a pinion 38 which is driven by a gear 39 integral with a star wheel 40, Fig. 3, driven in step-by-step manner by an anchor member 45, 46 carried by the pivoted armature 43 of an electromagnet 42. Upon energization of the electromagnet 24, Fig. 1, the armature 26 is moved against the pressure of a spring 37 to rock the carrier 30 and the hammers 35 counter-clockwise. A spring 20 causes the bail 19 to follow the hammer heads 35<SP>1</SP> and the transfer pinions 15 move away from the indicator wheels 6 before the hammer heads 35<SP>1</SP> engage the cams 9 to zeroize the wheels 6.
