Abstract

1,200,258. Counters. J. HENGSTLER K.G. 30 July, 1968 [1 Aug., 1967], No. 36225/68. Heading G4D. The transfer pinion 25 has a substantially square hub 35 engaging a leaf spring 32 which permits rotation at transfer but prevents movement when the pinion is disengaged during a resetting operation. The counter may be stepped on by repeated operation of a pushbutton 15, Fig. la, by oscillation of a pallet (57), (Fig. 2) freeing a permanent drive, or by the operation of an electromagnet 103, Fig. 3. One leaf spring 32 is provided for each transfer pinion or for each pair. The springs 32 may be formed as part of a spring comb with further limbs 37 acting on the transfer pinion shaft 28 which is displaced during resetting in a conventional hammer 113 and heart-cam 119 arrangement. The springs 32 may be replaced by gravity arms (Fig. 2).
