Class 117 [Also in Groups IX and XXX] In a machine for crushing fibre-containing plants (see Group IX), the plants are fed on to an endless belt 10 by means of a shoot 35 having an openwork bottom structure to allow the passage of stones or other objects which are diverted from the belt by means of an adjustable plate 38. The shoot is supported on a spring- mounted pivot 40 and has vertical vibratory motion imparted thereto by means of a motor-driven eccentric 41.
