Abstract
809,742. Inductive control systems. METROPOLITAN-VICKERS ELECTRICAL CO. Ltd. Nov. 11, 1955 [Nov. 19, 1954], No. 33612/54. Class 38 (4). [Also in Group XXXIX] The field winding 2 of a direct current motor is controlled by an auto-excited transductor 1 with a load rectifier 3 of low inverse impedance. The transductor is reset and thereby controlled by a rectifier 6 and a variable resistor 7 in shunt with the transductor. A variable resistor 5 may be used to give the rectifier 3 an artificial low impedance. In a modification, Fig. 2, two transductors 1a, 1b are arranged in push-pull. The variable resistor 7 of Fig. 2 may be replaced by a thermionic valve or a transistor 40, Fig. 4.
