808,058. Toaster. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A. B. June 21, 1957 [Nov. 14, 1956], No. 19547/57, Class 28 (1). Bread slices in frames 3 are depressed between heater elements 1 by depressing a push down 5 until a pawl 6 enters a slit 7 in an inverted slidable channel 9 to become latched therein. A heater coil 10 of a bi-metal 11 gradually bends the bimetal 11 to force a pin 11 on 9 to the left to disengage pawl 6 from slit 7 so that the frames 3 can be lifted up by a spring and cut off the current by a circuit breaker 4. The time of toasting is set by rotating a button 17, the incline 18 of which bears on a set screw 20 in the bell crank 14 whereby the pawl 6 enters more or less into the holding- down slit 7 so that release is sooner or later. Optional release at any time is made by depressing the button 17.
