Abstract
806,189. Ohmic resistors. CORNING GLASS WORKS. Sept. 25, 1956 [Sept. 30, 1955], No. 29287/56. Drawings to Specification. Class 37. [Also in Group XXIII] A resistor, made by depositing a conductive metal oxide film on a ceramic former, has the film protected by covering it with a similar conductive film with terminals overlying the second film. The second film preferably has a resistance at least ten times that of the first film and the first film may consist of tin oxide with up to about 6 per cent antimony oxide. The resistor may be made by applying coatings to glass in quick succession as it is drawn hot from a reservoir. The relative resistivities of the two films may be so selected that the temperature coefficients are compensatory. Specifications 778,108 and 806,190 are referred to.
