Abstract

1,246,437. Potentiometers. STEATITMAGNESIA A.G. 26 May, 1970 [27 June. 1969], No. 25217/70. Heading HIS. An electrical resistance element comprises a substrate with overlapping tapered, laminar resistance elements 1-4 sprayed or printed on it. Each tapered end 6 of each element apart from that of the last element 4 overlaps the broad end 7 of an element formed of material of higher resistivity. Terminal areas 5, 8 provide soldering lug contacts and the resistive material may be cermet. The element may be linear or arcuate and provides a logarithmic resistance characteristic.
