Abstract

805,905. Bottling. MACHINEFABRIEK VORHEEN JANSEN & SUTORIUS N. V. Aug. 13, 1956 [Sept. 3, 1955], No. 24669/56. Class 125(2). [Also in Group XXIX] A bottle filling valve adapted to be mounted in a fixed tube 2 secured to the bottom 1 of a liquid receptacle comprises a ported tubular supporting body 12 mounted in the tube 2 and projecting upwardly from the bottom of the receptacle, a valve disc 10 with a hollow stem 11 supported by the body 12 and extending above the liquid level in the receptacle, and a slidable sleeve 7 guided in the body 12 and having a sealing face 9 urged by a spring 16 against the valve disc 10. The sleeve 7 bears a resilient collar 17 against which the mouth of a bottle or the like is pressed to raise the sleeve 7 and so open the valve. The sleeve 7 has ports 19 corresponding to the ports 18 in the body 12. The parts are maintained in assembled relation by a flanged ring 4 which has a bayonet connection with a collar 3 on the fixed tube 2. The hollow stem 11 which functions as a vent tube is secured to the supporting body by a U-shaped disc 13 engaging flats 15. Specification 720,897 is referred to.
