Abstract

940,040. Bottling. SEITZ-WERKE G.m.b.H. July 14, 1961 [July 15, 1960], No. 25497/61. Heading B8T. A rotary tank 10 for filling vessels 12 via filling heads 11, is sub-divided and sealed by a partition 15 and a rubber band 19 to provide a liquid supply chamber 16 and an overflow chamber 18 with a lid 17 sealed thereto. The overflow chamber is connected to a high vacuum source through pipes 20, 24 and the chamber 16 is connected to a source of lower vacuum through pipes 22, 25. Liquid is fed to the chamber 16 through a pipe 23 and is controlled by a float 26. An overflow pipe 37 leads from each filling head and is detachably sealed to a tubular element 34 extending into the chamber 18 by means of a seal 36 urged against the element by a spring 38. The upper end of each element 34 contains a ball valve 35. The lid 17 is sealed against the pipe 20 by a seal 27 on a member 28 connected to the lid by a resilient element 29, in similar manner the partition is sealed against the pipe 22.
