Abstract

804,512. Overhead railways. REGIE NATIONALE DES USINES RENAULT. June 14, 1956 [Aug. 4, 1955], No. 18450/56. Class 104 (2). An endless overhead conveyer comprises groups of trolleys 9 with lugs 11 for conveying a part of a vehicle 25, the trolleys being interconnected by universal joints 23 and coupling bars 20 enclosed in a hollow rail comprising facing channel irons 8, 8<SP>1</SP>. The trolleys are driven by an endless chain 6 with driving abutments 7 which engage a pivoted stop 16, 17 on one or more trolleys. The chain has rollers running on an upper I-section rail 1. Each trolley is guided by rollers 15 running between the lower flanges of the two channel irons 8, 81. To enable bends to be negotiated the top of the channel iron 8, 8<SP>1</SP> is removed at the bends and the channel iron is supported by a bracket underneath.
