Abstract

804,155. Rotary pumps. FORD MOTOR CO., Ltd. April 17, 1957 [May 31, 1956], No. 12561/57. Class 110 (2). In a rotary pump of the outwardly-sliding radial-vane type having an inlet 30 and an outlet 35, the outlet communicates with the inner ends of the vane slots through a conduit 37 whereby the fuel being pumped undergoes a two-stage compression. The rotor is dis-. posed between side plates 28, 31, the former being positioned by O-rings 29 and the latter being provided with arcuate slots registering with the passages 30, 35, 37. The pump is also provided with a spring-loaded relief valve (see Fig. 3, not shown).
