801,069. Rotary pumps. TEVES, H., and TEVES, E. A., [trading as TEVES MASCHINEN-UND ARMATURENFABRIK KOMMGES. A.]. July 13, 1956 [July 23, 1955], No. 21740/56. Class 110 (2). In a rotary pump having a plurality of circuits 5, 6, 7 connected in parallel with a reservoir 3 and discharging through a valve 2 to a point of use, the valve automatically renders the circuits 5 and 7 ineffective one after another in order to maintain the delivery constant over a large range of speed. At low speeds the fluid is fed through the passages 14, 17, 18 of the valve unheeded but when the speed increases the slide 16 connects the pressure conduit 23 with a return line 30. Moreover, the chamber 14 is connected to a conduit 37 leading to surge chambers 31, 32 for relieving the rotor of load. Continued movement of the slide connects the pressure conduit 12 to a return line 29 by way of a conduit 24 and also connects the chamber 14 with a third surge chamber 33.
