Abstract

799,846. Floors, centering. OY MTON1 AKTIEBOLAG. May 4, 1956 [May 20, 1955], No. 13927/56. Classes 20(2) and 29(4) Floors are made by lowaring prefabricated beams 5 on to temporary scaffolding A13 based on the floor F previously made by the method. The beams shown are of inverted T-shape and are placed side by side so that their flanges 8 touch and a channel formed by the webs 9 of the adjacent beams; the beams are not quite as long as the distance between the opposite walls 1 transverse to their length but they have reinforcing rods 12 or bolts projectingfrom their ends to enter holes 7 preformed in the walls. Concrete is then cast over. the whole; this, in addition to filling the channels between the webs of the beams and covering the beams, also fills up the small gaps between, the ends of the beams and the walls, and also fills the holes 7 to anchor the reinforcements therein. Reinforcements transverse to the length of the beams are also provided. The temporary platform 2 from which the prefabricated beams are lowered is supported by the moving form moulds 1. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 769,672.
