796,447. Blankets used in drying corrugated paper-board. VICTOR BALATA & TEXTILE BELTING CO. March 13, 1956 [March 15, 1955], No. 7886/56. Class 96. [Also in Group IX] In a machine for making double-faced, corrugated paper-board, the two facing plies 16, 20 are glued at 18, 22, and the middle ply 24, corrugated at 26, is united with them at 28, the resulting paper-board 27 passing over steamheated drying plates 32, moisture being absorbed and the paper-board being smoothed by, e.g. two endless woven felts or blankets running side-by-side and having a thick body portion of cotton yarn, interwoven with which, at one or both marginal surfaces facing towards the paperboard, and optionally at the edges, or alternatively over the whole surface facing towards the paper-board, are synthetic, heat-resisting yarns, e.g. of nylon, polyester, or of polyacrylonitrile.
