807,923. Paper-making machine felts. BURY FELT MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. May 2, 1957 [Feb. 2, 1956], No. 3318/56. Classes 42 (2) and 96. A needle loom for producing endless fops such as those used in the paper-making industry is characterized in that a part of the needle loom, for example part of the machine frame and the drive mechanism, is made removable so that the felt produced thereon can be removed in a seamless endless band. The felt may comprise a percentage of synthetic fibres such as that known by the Registered Trade Mark " Fibravyl." The felt may be subjected to heat treatment to cause shrinkage under controlled tension. A base fabric such as hessian, nylon web or paper fabric may be used or alternatively the base fabric may be dispensed with.
