Abstract

795,943. Tool-holders; milling-cutters. O.K. TOOL CO., Inc. May 7, 1956 [June 10, 1955], No. 14048/56. Class 83 (3). A tool-holder comprises a body 1 having an opening 2 therein, the forward end of the opening being threaded to take a sleeve 6, the bore of the sleeve tapering rearwardly, a plug 9 being arranged in the opening behind the sleeve into which a screw 15 threads, the screw passing through a bore in the tool 10 which is tapered to fit the sleeve. The body may be cylindrical, Fig. 1, and adapted to rotate about its axis, with the tools 10 extending obliquely. The plug 9 has an integral key-lug 11, Fig. 6, to prevent rotation, and the tool 10 has a rear tang (not shown) which fits into a slot 14 in the plug.
