Abstract

793,652. Inductors and transformers. MARCONI INSTRUMENTS, Ltd. July 26, 1956 [Nov. 15, 1955], No. 32631/55. Class 38 (2). In inductive apparatus an envelope surrounding a coil 1 is formed by the outer edges of a core and two insulating cover members 3, 4 preferably of bonded glass resin, and the envelope is filled through an aperture 8 with a thermosetting plastic which may be a solventless varnish. Leads 9 are brought out through apertures and soldered to tags. Details of the heating process for polymerization of the varnish to a rubber-like consistency are described.
