792,436. Sleeve couplings. AMP, Inc. Feb. 16, 1956 [Feb. 17, 1955], No. 4867/56. Class 38 (1). A sleeve connector for crimping on a plurality of wires comprises a metal sleeve 12 surrounded by a flexible insulating sleeve 4 closed at one end 2 and having an enlarged skirt 6 at the other open end and an intermediate indented portion 14 which causes the skirt to telescope over the sleeve 4, as shown in Fig. 5, when a lateral force is applied to the connected wires, thereby obviating tearing of the skirt.
