Abstract

789,524. Cable couplings. BURNDY ENGINEERING CO., Inc. Feb. 7, 1956, No. 3727/56. Class 38 (1). A branch connector comprises a C-shaped body 20 of soft metal, the arms 21, 22 of which are adapted to be crimped round the main and branch cables so that their end faces 25, 26 abut. The arms increase in thickness where they join and one arm may be thicker than the other for use where the cables are of different diameters. Semi-cylindrical crimps are formed in the outer faces of the arms, the material from which is extruded round the cables. Specification 789,523 is referred to.
