A modification of the winding arrangement set forth in the parent Specification comprises means for displacing both the stator and the rotor of the driving motor. As shown, the rotor 32 is mounted with its shaft 33 in ball-bearings 34 which permit both rotation and limited longitudinal movement of the member 32, adjustment being effected through pin 38 and roller 39 in a cam slot which is positioned in accordance with the thread tension by means of arm 7. The field winding 31 is mounted on sleeve 70 within the motor housing 2, adjustment of the stator being effected through cam slot 71 in casing 72 which cooperates with pin 73 having a roller 74. The pin is guided in a slot 75 formed in the housing 2. A pivoted arm 25 is fixed to the casing 72 and is adjusted in accordance with the diameter of the wound package.
