Class 52(2)' A reclining chair has a frame 1 with side rails 2 to which are pivoted the side rails 3 of a seat structure by means of brackets 4 pivoted on pins 5 carried by plates 6, a back frame 7 carried on plates 8 connected by pivot pins 9 to plates 10 on the chair frame and double armed levers 13 pivoted on pins 12 each lever being connected by a link 14 to the plate 8 at a point 15 and carrying a roller 16 which engages the underside of seat rail 3 to form a support for the seat with a guide strip 7 forming a slot so that as the back frame is tilted rearwardly the seat is tilted upwards.
