Class 68(1) A fluid-actuated, doubleacting, piston-cylinder motor 20, 16 is so constructed that the pressure on the free side of the piston 20 is likely to decrease while pressure on the piston rod side of the piston is likely to increase the distance between the points of connection 13, 12 of the piston rod 21 and of the cylinder 16 to the parts actuated by the motor. The piston rod 21 is connected to the associated part, e.g. the shovel of a shovelling machine, disposed on that side of the cylinder or piston opposite to the piston rod by a cross-piece 22 and struts 25, 26 and the cylinder 16 is connected to the associated part e.g. the chassis of the'shovelling machine, situated on the same side of the cylinder or the piston as the piston rod by arms 16.
