828,138. Mobile jib cranes. STAHLUND KRANBAU G.m.b.H. April 28, 1958 [April 27, 1957], No. 13464/58. Class 78 (4). A mobile jib crane is stabilized by supports which are lowered automatically as soon as the leverage from the load exceeds a predetermined limit. As shown, supports 4 are lowered by hydraulic pressure from the cylinder of a ram 1 which is pivoted at 3 and luffs the jib 2, as soon as this pressure is sufficient to overcome the resistance of a spring 7, which resistance is varied as the jib moves by an arm 15 pivoted at 16 and connected to the ram 1 by a link 17.
