Abstract

917,994. Erecting tower cranes. TAX, H. March 13, 1961, No. 9147/61. Class 78 (4). In order that additional sections 8 may be added to the bottom of the tower of a rotatable tower-crane the tower is raised by arms 6 pivoted to the tower at 7 and to a base 3 at 5. As described, the arms are pivoted on an upright frame 4 which is pivotally attached to the base at 9 to permit the erection of the unextended crane. The arms 6 may be operated by hoisting tackle or an hydraulic ram.
