Abstract

910,234. Collapsible tower cranes. HEBEZEUGWERK SEBNITZ VEB. Feb. 20, 1959, No. 5953/59. Class 78 (4). An hydraulic jack 5 erects the mast 3 and luffs the jib 15 of a rotary tower crane. As shown, the jack 5 is pivoted to the same base 1 as the mast and acts on a block 7 sliding in a slot 6. After the mast has been secured in its erect position the luffing cable 11 is reeved over tackle formed by pulleys on the block 7 and pulleys 19 on the mast.
