Abstract

783,527. Building blocks; walls. AKTIESELSKABET SANO. June 28, 1954 [June 30, 1953], No. 18942/54. Classes 20(4) and 87(1) A building block is formed on its rear face with a central rib 12 of rounded dovetail section and with similar half ribs 14, 16 at the ends, the recesses 18, 20 corresponding in section to the rib 12 to permit the interlocking of blocks back to back in staggered horizontal and vertical relation. At a corner, Fig. 4, apertured blocks 30 provided with a quarter block 36, 38 on an end and a side face may be employed or, Fig. 5, an external block 40 with an additional half dovetail 42 and an internal block 50 with an arcuate dovetail 56 and a quarter block projecting from its rear face at that end. Wall junction blocks comprise standard blocks provided with a half or quarter block on their front faces. A modified block, Fig. 11, comprises two standard blocks 130, 140, vertically staggered. Reinforcing irons may extend from the foundation to the roof through spans between the blocks
