Abstract

783,106. Fusible cut-outs. HENLEY'S TELEGRAPH WORKS CO., Ltd., W. T. Jan. 4, 1956 [Jan. 21, 1955], No. 1903/55. Addition to 712,532. Class 38 (1). A modification of the split insertion piece for a fuse holder described and claimed in the parent Specification in which resilient clips 6 are provided in the gaps 3 in the walls of collar 2, ribs 9 on which retain the fuse end cap in the insertion piece. A part 5 of the clip element is screwed to a wall 4 of the collar. Two downward projections 14 extend from the wall 4 and join an insulating stem 15 which is formed with lugs 21 for engagement by a tool. The fuse is mounted in the insertion piece which is then screwed into a conducting ring 24, the other fuse end cap engaging a spring-pressed contact 25. The fuse is removed by unscrewing the insertion piece, the ribs 9 being prevented from snapping out of engagement with fuse 11 by a ring 24 even if the other end cap should stick slightly to contact 25.
