Abstract

782,614. Spinning and winding; devices. PUJOL C. Oct 13 1955 [Oct. 13, 1954], No. 29221/55. Class 120(2) A spinning and winding device for textile fibres comprises a rotary centrifugal container which can be axially reciprocated, a plate: with a concave surface which carries the first conical layers of the wound textile material, which plate is slidably mounted inside the container and is resiliently mounted relative to the bottom thereof, and a guide part for the fibres with a central guide channel having in its bottom portion a concave lower end opposite which is centred a complimentary convex surface which constitutes the top end of a central supporting stem for the bobbin or reel on which the winding is effected, the said central stem connecting with the above mentioned guide part so that the gap between the respective complimentary concave and convex surfaces forming an annular guide channel is kept constant. In the arrangement shown 10 is a centrifugal container rotatably mounted on shaft 29 which is carried by a reciprocating support 19. 13 is a concave plate. rotatable with the container 10 and 20 represents the guide part for the rovings or threads to be spun and wound. A reel 15 mounted on a central stem 16 acts as a core for the wound material 24. The guide part 20 is mounted in a rotary manner in a plate A and is formed with a central guide channel 22 having a bell mouthed inlet and a concave, bell mouthed outlet 22<SP>1</SP>. Oppoiste this opening is centred the top convex and complimentary end 16<SP>1</SP> of the central stem 16. The latter is co-axially and resiliently mounted by means of a spring 27 on an inside part 28 which is fixed to the container 10. The concave plate 13 is mounted concentrically in relation to the stem 16 and is resiliently mounted inside the container 10. by means of spring 14. The arrangement is such. that the. annular channel between the convex end of stem 16 and the complimentary lower end of the guide channel 22 remains constant during spinning. In operation textile fibrous material is fed into the bell mouthed upper end of the channel 22 and this material is sucked by an air stream through the channel 22 until it comes into contact with the upper convex end of the stem 16. The material is then deflected into the annular guide channel 22<SP>1</SP> and is thereby twisted and spun into yarn forming the package 24 comprised between the surfaces 20<SP>1</SP> and 13.
