Abstract

410,315. Winding or twisting and winding artificial silk and other material. HAMEL AKT.-GES., C., HAMEL, E., Schonau, near Chemnitz, and GUNTHER, A., Chemnitz, Germany. April 29, 1933, No. 12538. [Class 120 (ii).] In a machine for winding or twisting and winding artificial silk or other material into cylindrical or conical cops, bobbins or cheeses, the traverse cam is driven from the winding-spindle and the package is held laterally against a driving-drum by weighted lever mechanism. The winding- spindle 4 is carried by a weighted lever 5 and drives the traverse cam 13 through a belt 7 and gearing 11, 12. The belt pulley 6 is an expansion pulley comprising an outer split rim and an adjustable co-operating cone. The traverse guide is carried by a weighted lever 18. The cam shaft 14 is carried by a fork 141 adjustably secured in a spherical seating. As shown, the machine is adapted for twisting at delivery the yarn passing through an eye 21 and roller 23, both elastically supported, and a clearer 24, and over a moistening roller 25.
